ACHIEVEMENTS

Read about how our students did in the 2005/06 ACS International Fine Arts Competition.

Students who satisfactorily fulfill the curriculum requirements of the school have historically experienced no difficulty transferring into any other school system. The Christian School of Grace Baptist Church meets or exceeds all State of Pennsylvania curriculum requirements for each grade level.

Students from The Christian School of GBC participate in festivals and competitions with other Christian schools.  These competitions include Spelling Bees, art festivals, music festivals and speech competitions.

MACSA and ACSI offer yearly festivals for visual arts, music and speech.  Numerous Grace students have earned superior rankings for projects ranging from sculpture to photography to watercolor painting.

The school choir has also earned Superior ratings many times with several top finishes.  Soloists in voice, piano, and instruments have represented the school well earning several Superior ratings.

Public speaking has always been a vital part of Christian education as we strive to train leaders for the next generation.  This emphasis has resulted in many of our students earning speech awards in recitations, dramatic interpretations and in interpretative reading.

The results from the Iowa Test of Basic Skills Achievement Test given in the Spring show the school's excellent standing when compared to other schools:

On average a class should grow 1.0 for a year spent in school.  For example the 2006
1st grade average 3.0.    At the end of 2nd grade (2007) they average 4.2.  This shows a
growth of 1.2 (4.2 minus 3.0).
