The Christian School of GBC is dedicated to educating and nurturing the mind, body and spirit of boys and girls in kindergarten through grade 8.  The school, located in Carlisle Pennsylvania, offers a challenging curriculum in a vigorous learning environment.

The Grace Notes are a select ensemble
of 7th & 8th graders.  They tied for 1st place in the small ensemble category of the ACSI Middle School Fine Arts
Festival on May 1, 2009 at the Hershey Evangelical Free Church.

Ten students competed in the annual  Geography Bowl, 2009/2010, sponsored by National Geographic magazine.  Ten finalists earned the right to compete in the school bowl by winning their respective grade level competitions.
   
 

Front row:  4th grade winners, CJ Reisinger and Matthew Praestgaard; 6th grade winners, Noah Drobel (Grand Champion) and Kady Stodter (2nd place overall) 

Back row:  5th grade winners, Erik Praestgaard and Alyssa Endres; 7th grade winners, Sam Hinthorn (3rd place tie overall) and  Elizabeth Tonkin; 8th grade winners Turner Blashford and Mark Schaeffer (3rd place tie overall)

Spelling Bee Champions 2009/2010
     
On Friday, March 5, the annual Spelling Bee concluded.  The bee began on February 19th.  Noah Drobel successfully completed 14 rounds to win the 5th & 6th portion of the bee.  McKenzie Stine finished second and Josiah Reisinger finished third.
  

Samuel Hinthorn, 7th grade, won the school bee by successfully spelling camouflage and satellite in the 18th round.  Mitchell Apgar, 7th, finished second, and Turner Blashford, 8th, finished third.
