ACSI FINE ARTS COMPETITION RESULTS
On Monday, April 29, 2013, forty middle school students from The Christian School of Grace Baptist Church travelled to Lancaster, PA to participate in the ACSI Middle School Fine Arts Festival. Groups and individual students were adjudicated in vocal, instrumental, and visual art categories. Over 1100 students from forty Middle Atlantic Christian school participated.
The Christian School of Grace Baptist Church is pleased to announce the following results. The small vocal ensemble called The Grace Notes, under the direction of Mrs. Carol Garman, received the highest score in their group. Additionally, they were one of three performances chosen to present at the awards program. Also, Seventh grade student Nicholas Douglas of Carlisle earned the designation of Superior for his vocal solo entitled “There Is A Higher Throne.”
The opportunity to present at ACSI marks the end of many months of practice and preparation by the students. Among others recognized for excellence in their musical presentations were Erik Praestgaard, piano; Alyssa Endres, vocal solo, and Nathan Harding, guitar. The school choir and Boys’ Ensemble also earned a score of Excellent for their performances.
